Telemedicine

“Like having a nurse at my fingertips.”

Bangor Area Visiting Nurses employs a wide range of telemedicine monitors from simple video phones to sophisticated monitors that electronically transmit patient-specific health data back to our telemedicine nurse in our agency. Since 1998, these monitors have been placed in our patients’ homes and used to make “televisits” allowing us to monitor them 24 hours per day.

Telemedicine improves patient outcomes by providing our patients with health education, remote monitoring and peace of mind.  In addition, telemedicine helps reduce the number of re-hospitalizations and emergency room visits. For more information, please contact us.
